Lanette Walters has been an educator for 12 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University in Special Education. She taught in an elementary learning support classroom for seven years where she learned the value of individualized instruction. She earned her Master’s degree in Reading from McDaniel College and is a certified as a K-12 Reading Specialist. In 2007, she entered the educational technology field teaching computer classes to elementary students. During this time, she began offering professional development for teachers in the area of technology. She has taught both in the public and private sector. Currently she is a technology integrator and teacher in a 1:1 iPad K-5 school and has led them to win the Apple Distinguished Schools Award for exemplary learning environments and centers of innovation, leadership and education excellence. In addition, Lanette is currently the Digital Curriculum Reviewer for KinderTown, the educational app store for engaged parents. Lanette has reviewed over a thousand apps for kids!
